The Lord Nelson

The Lord Nelson at Winthorpe

The Lord Nelson at Winthorpe re-opened its doors in July 2016 under the management of four new Directors - Emilie, Martyn, Dave and Oli. All four are local to the area and have a long history with, and a lot of love for, this beautiful English country pub.

After full redecoration, the pub has the feel of an old country house with squashy sofas, roaring fires, wooden floors and low beams. Originally built in the 1800s, the pub is a Grade II listed building, bordered by a beck and set in idyllic countryside.

The Nelson offers a large Victorian walled beer-garden, two snugs, a spacious bar, a stunning Private Dining Room and a large restaurant with doors opening out on to our garden.

We serve delicious, fresh and fairly-priced food and are committed to supporting our local community, including sourcing all of our food and produce from Notts & Lincs suppliers. We're grateful to the villagers of Winthorpe who bring us beautiful produce from their allotments and gardens.

Our bar serves a range of traditional draft and cask ales, beer and cider. We're 100% dog and tiny-human-friendly; our canine pals are welcome in our bar and beer garden and children are welcome everywhere.

We serve lunch and dinner, Tuesday to Sunday.

Our Sunday lunch offers three different roasts.

On a Tuesday lunchtime, we offer a "Silver Surfers" lunch - any Pub Classic and any dessert for £10.

Whether it's a beer and a burger in the bar, chilling in our snug with a glass of wine, or a special private dinner celebration, we are delighted to serve you and our mission is to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.

We're very proud to be a part of beautiful Winthorpe village and to support the community, its clubs and events.

Best wishes, Oli, Em, Dave and Martyn
