The Lord Nelson is located in a central location in the village, next to the village green. The building dates from the 17th century and has a steeply pitched roof and unusual rounded bay at the front, housing the staircase. While the front of the building displays the typical six over six Georgian sashes the rear has Yorkshire sliding horizontal sashes, typical of more humble buildings.
