Paul Evans Memorial & Pavilion Open Day

It is now just over 3 years since the opening of the new pavilion so the Club thought it was time to update the website!  The intervening years have been a little difficult due to ongoing presures of finance and dwindling numbers of players coming through however we are still surviving.  No doubt our much missed Chairman, Paul Evans, will be looking down on us monitoring our progress and hopefully finding things to his approval.

The annual Paul Evan's Memorial fixture continues to be held and was played last year between a Winthorpe XI vs Coddington XI, which again is planned for this year please keep an eye out in Focal Point  for updates.

Finally please pop along to the ground on match days to take a look at procedings, you will be assured of a warm welcome and may even get offered a cup of tea.

The Cricket Club are holding an Open Day on Sunday 27th April 2008 following the construction of the new pavilion.  Many of you will have seen the outside so we are having an open day to allow villagers to come and take a look at the inside.  Additionally there will be the first Paul Evans Memorial Match between the Cricket Club and a Chairman's XI.  It is hoped to make this an annual fixture in commemoration of Paul Evans our former Chairman and stalwart of the Club who died earlier this year.

Please come down on the day to have a look around, I'm sure many of you will be surprised at what you see.  There will be refreshments available on the day so please come along even if it's only for an hour or so and enjoy the event.  If you would like more information please complete the contact form on the website with your query and we will deal with it as quickly as possible.

We look forward to seeing you on the day.
