Minute Ref. 82/10b – Adoption of Phone Box – Langford – ongoing
Minute Ref. 82/10c – Tree Preservation Order of trees – Gainsborough Road, Winthorpe – List to be finalised - ongoing.
Minute Ref. 82/10d - Diamond Jubilee/Village Festival. E-mail received from Winthorpe Primary School indicated that a decision as to whether the School will become involved in the Diamond Jubilee/Village Festival celebrations would be taken in September
Minute Ref. 82/10e – Church Stone Tablet and Pinnacle – This matter will be discussed at the WPCC Annual General Meeting.
Minute Ref. 87/10 Any Other Business. New Notice Board. It was noted by members that a New Notice Board was in place on the green area in front of the Lord Nelson Public House. Keys are held by the Chairman, the Clerk and proprietors of the Lord Nelson.
Members thanked County Councillor Mr V Dobson for supporting the application made to the Local Improvement Scheme for the Notice Board.
101/10 Wickstead Safety Inspection Report:
After studying the Report, Mr Pope reported that everything was in good order.
The Chairman thanked Mr Pope for giving his Report and attending the meeting.
102/10 Parish Council Elections 5 May 2011 – Nominations
Mr Casterton and Mrs Waters (via e-mail) had stated that they would not be putting their names forward for re-election at the forthcoming Parish Elections.
Members were made aware of the procedure that is to be followed with regard to the Parish Elections. The Clerk agreed to provide the necessary papers required for re-election, which will be passed to the Chairman.

104/10 Planning Applications:
P/App. No. 11/00297/LDC Mr James Sumsion for Application for certificate of lawful development for driveway Langford Hall Langford
- Objection. Vote: For 0, Agst 6, Abst 1 (Mr B Wright had declared an interest)
- Concerns expressed by members due to the fact that a previous approved application showed the proposed driveway to the side of the wood. Whereas it would appear that this application for Certificate of Lawful development showed the proposed driveway through a track through the wood.
P/App. No.10/01684/FULM by ELK Motorsport for proposed erection of a new steel portal building comprising of a workshop, reception, briefing room, machine room and toilets, plus extension to the existing Go-Kart track. Demolition of existing building and toilet block and creation of new parking area by Elk Motorsports Drove Lane , Langford
Objection. Various concerns relating to noise, light pollution and possible usage of track for larger competitive events. P/App. No.11/00397/FUL by Mr Jonny Powell for erection of extension to rear of property.50 Gainsborough Road Winthorpe. No Objection.

N&SDC – Consultation on Community Infrastructure Levy Charges within the Local Development Framework document.
This document was passed to Mr Thompson to comment on behalf of the Parish Council
NCC – Notification of Civic Services at Southwell Minster on 26 June 2011.
Resolved to defer this item until after the Elections.
NCC – Grass cutting Schedule for 2011/12. Reduced from 6 cuts to 4 cuts per year. It was noted that the County Council are withdrawing payments for two cuts during the year, these were previously subsidised under the Local Improvement Scheme.
Reported that the trees next to the Alms Houses required trimming.
The Chairman agreed to contact Mr Clarke who had previously carried out tree works on behalf of the Council.
Mr Allen reported that since Christmas, 12 accidents had taken place on the corner near to the Air Museum. It was noted that this had been reported to the Police on many occasions, with no action being taken. It was suggested to write to NCC Highways Dept on the matter.
DC Mrs M Dobson confirmed that following a meeting with an Officer from the Highways Dept, the road markings on the approach to the roundabouts on A1/A46 and A17 were going to be reinstated.
DC Mrs M Dobson informed the meeting she would be standing as an Independent at the forthcoming District Elections.
Members thanked DC Mrs M Dobson for the support she has given to the Parish over the past years.
DC Mrs M Dobson asked for permission of the Council to pursue and report to N&SDC a build-up of builders rubble and rubbish on the entrance of a field as you entered Langford. Members unanimously agreed to this request.
